My Liposuction Experience
Details of my Liposuction Surgery Procedure
I had Liposuction Surgery over 2 years ago now and am I glad its all over !
For most Liposuction all goes according to plan, but for many it takes two procedures. With the human body being what it is, varying from individual to individual, it is deifficult for a Liposuction Surgeon to predict exactly how much fat needs to be sucked out of a body area to achieve the desired result. Its one thing to simply pull the fat out of say the stomach and thigh region, but also trying to create the right sort of end contour and shape can be an even bigger challenge in itself. Pull too much fat out and you are left with sunken and pocket areas which ruin the silouhette, contour and flow of the womens curves and body shape. Not removing enough fat ends up back where you started where a second and maybe even a thrid Liposuction Procedure needs to be undertaken to get the right body contour.
After having consultations with 4 Cosmetic Surgeons I felt most comfortable with Dr Steve Brown and he gave me confidence the operation could be done successfully in one visit. The total cost for the cosmetic surgeons fee was $7000 and he mentioned the other costs of hospital stay, anesthetist, bandages and other smaller items would be approximately $5000 all up. Totalling these combined costs means the whole surgery works out around $12,000 by completion. Ok so its a lot of cost, but I wanted the surgery really bad so I decided to get a surgery loan and went ahead with the procedure. I arrived at the hospital at 8am and was greeted by hospital staff and my anesthetist. After some chatting my cosmetic surgeon arrived and we had a breif review of exactly what I was requiring with regards to my stomach, abdomen and thighs ultrasonic smart liposuction procedure. This was merely a formality as he already knew and had notes of the results I was looking for, this was merely to follow up and see if I had changed my mind or had any last minute requests before the procedure took place.
Well 11am come up and I was beginning to feel nervous the liposuction procedure was almost taking place. I was wheeled into the operating theatre and the staff were all busy doing their thing in preperation from my surgery. My anesthetist made some light talk and small humour jokes to lift the mood a bit, I must admitt this did help ease my nervies a bit. He inserted the needle to deliver the anethetising chemicals and within seconds I was out like a light. I had no idea what was going on until I woke drousy and dazing 3 hours later in a hospital bed feeling a little bit still and sore from the procedure and bandages all over my body.
Once I gained a little bit of mind clarity I realised the liposuction prcedure had actually been performed and I had actually had that annoying fat removed from my problem areas. I couldn't believe it, it was actually all a bit overwhelming, I had actually done what I had been contemplating and delyaing for years. I was a little bit sore but not much because of all the painkiller medications they had administered to me whilst in surgery but everything felt fine. Now I just have ao wait a couple of weeks to see the results
... Let me tell you I absolutely cannot wait for this moment !
